Your clothing size – how to take measurements correctly.

For many reasons the clothing you wear when motorcycling has to fit well: clothing that is uncomfortably tight or constrictive will make it all the more difficult for you to concentrate while riding your motorcycle. The same applies if loose clothing flaps in the motorcycle's slipstream. Too tight or too loose – it will inevitably be a strain on your nerves and on your strength.
And that inevitably means less safety on the road.

Another point to bear in mind is that jacket and trousers must fit perfectly: the sleeves and trouser legs must not ride up. This is important for safety and also to protect you against wind and weather.

This is why the cut of all our suits are ideal for motorcycling and the suits themselves feature all sorts of adjustment, stretch pleats and practical details. Even so, it is essential for you to choose the right size if your suit is to be the "perfect fit". A range of more than 40 different sizes allows for virtually any stature. So please be sure to take your measurements correctly. Here are some tips to make it easy.

How to take measurements correctly:

(A) Body height
Stand barefoot in a doorway. Place a hardback book flat on your head and press the edge against the door frame. Mark a line at the bottom edge of the book and use a tape to measure you height.

(B) Chest
Measure this size over a shirt or a light pullover. Pass the tape measure under your arms. Measure at the widest point over your chest and shoulder blades.

(C) Waist
Take this size over your shirt, not round the waistband of your trousers. Be sure to adopt a natural stance. Do not draw in your stomach and measure as loosely as you want the trousers to fit.

(D) Seat
Take the waist measurement over the seat of your trousers.

(E) Outside leg
Measure your outside leg size. This is the size from the waist to the sole of the foot.

(F) Inside leg
Measure your inside leg size. This is the size from the crotch to the sole of the foot.
